New to accounting? This course offers you the opportunity to obtain a thorough understanding of basic bookkeeping techniques and practices through step-by-step, hands-on training.

 

Learning objectives:

Upon completion of the course, you will have demonstrated the ability to:

  • Understand basic accounting terminology
  • Understand and be able to create a sales invoice
  • Understand account reconciliation
  • Understand and be able to create a purchase invoice
  • Create and record journal entries

 

Course prerequisites: A complete intake with a Q College administration member

The Bookkeeping and Manual Accounting Level 1 course does not require the approval of the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. As such, the registrar did not review this program.

In this course, you will discover how simple it is to use QuickBooks. You will begin by learning how to navigate the software while setting up a company.

  • Navigate QuickBooks Ribbon
  • Add new customers and vendors
  • Run reports

  • Manage and modify your accounts and clients
